TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
The Florida State men’s basketball team recently traveled to the Holy Comforter School for an informative basketball clinic filled with drills and fun. The Seminole players set up stations featuring shooting, layups, rebounding, passing and ball handling to teach the students the some of the finer points of the game of basketball.
The students which ranged from sixth to eighth grade were divided into three groups and moved from station to station where they were offered individual coaching and valuable tips on how to improve their game from the Florida State players. At the end of the session, the students had the opportunity to scrimmage with some of the players.
The Holy Comforter students were thoroughly excited at the opportunity to interact with and learn from the FSU men’s basketball team.
Seminole forward Ryan Reid added: “It feels good to give back and let everybody know that we take the game of basketball very seriously. We just want to get out here and give back to the students.”
