Florida State Men’s Golf Team Completes Season As Atlanta Intercollegiate Comes To An End

Florida State junior Peter Mitchell and sophomore Brad Lusenhop finished in a tied for 48th-place in the individual standings and the Seminoles finished in 13th in the team standings as play was completed at the Atlanta Intercollegiate men’s golf tournament at Eagle’s Landing Country Club. Lusenhop enjoyed a strong final round as he moved up three spots in the individual standings and finished the three-round tournament with a 230 score.


All five Seminole golfers finished within nine spots of each other. Mitchell finished as the highest ranking Seminole for the fifth time in seven events this spring. He closed the season with the lowest stroke average among the Seminoles with a career-low 73.62 average. He also led the team with 16 rounds of scores of 75 or less.


Lusenhop closed his season with a career-low 75.90 stroke average and eight rounds of sub-75 golf. He earned a career-high seven top-50 finishes during the Fall 2001 and Spring 2002 seasons combined.


The Men’s golf season at Florida State comes to an end for the 2001-02 season with the conclusion of the Atlanta Intercollegiate.
