After a dominated start to the 2007 dual season, the Seminoles hope to continue their winning streak as they host Florida Atlantic, Georgia State and No. 71 Furman this weekend in Tallahassee. Play will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning as the Seminoles take on the Florida Atlantic Owls and later Georgia State in doubles at 2:00 p.m. On Sunday, Florida State will conclude its singles play against the Panthers at 10:00 a.m. and later take on No. 71 Furman at 2:00 p.m. All matches will be held on the Florida State campus at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center
LAST WEEKEND: It was a strong start to the 2007 dual match season as Florida State men’s tennis dominated on home territory overpowering cross-town rivals Florida A&M, 7-0. The Seminoles, who have not dropped an opening day match in six straight seasons, improved to 1-0 season record. The Seminoles continued their winning streak defeating North Florida 6-1 and improving the season record to 2-0.
HIGHLIGHTS: Starting strong in singles competition, freshman Bradley Mixson dominating in the number six position as he won a second bagel victory of the day. “Two in one day!” Mixson screamed, as he defeated North Florida’s Glen Marshall 6-0, 6-0.

From Tennessee Street: While heading West on Tennessee Street, make a left on to Brian St./Stadium Dr. Go through Call St. and make a left on Connector Rd. You will find parking in the parking garage directly to your left or continue down Connector and you will see two parking lots in front of the Scott Speicher Tennis Center and the Bobby E. Leach Center. All spaces are available M-F after 4:30 p.m. and weekends.
