On Florida State As An Up-And-Comer

“The NCAA Tournament is about a lot of things, and one thing is up-and-coming teams. I would qualify Florida State as an up-and-coming program.”

On Playing In A High Altitude Atmosphere

“I think we’ve addressed the altitude issue as a team. We consider ourselves a very well conditioned team. We feel like we’ve prepared as well or better than any other team for the elevation.”

On Playing Louisiana Tech

“Chris Long has done a tremendous coaching job with them. They don’t have a star, but they are well-rounded as a team. They have a lot of quick athletes. They have a lot of balance and a lot of weapons. I think they represent a tough matchup.”

On Playing In The ACC

“From top to bottom, the ACC has been a great preparation for the postseason. Since early January, we’ve been playing the best night in and night out. I’m proud of our players for meeting that challenge head on.”

SENIOR GUARD Holly Johnson

On playing on a neutral court

“It is a huge benefit to play on a neutral court. Everyone here has to deal with the altitude. So we just have to go out on the court and have fun.”

SENIOR GUARD Ganiyat Adeduntan

On being an experienced NCAA Tournament team

“Last year everything was new. This year, we are more comfortable, and we know what to expect.  We know that defense will do it. If we play well on defense, it will determine the outcome of the game.”
