Huff comes to Florida State with extensive as both a CPA and a CFO of several nationally known and distinguished corporations. Huff spent five years as an accountant with several local and national firms. Huff prospered as the CFO for one of the largest IBM companies in the United States and as the chief financial officer for the Los Angeles Raiders from 1987 to 1993.
In addition to his business experience, Huff was quarterback in the NFL with Chicago (1973-1976), Tampa Bay (1977-1978) and San Francisco (1980-1981). He was also an assistant football coach at Indiana University (1983) and the University of Kansas (1987), in the USFL with the Memphis Showboats (1984-1985) and in the NFL with the Houston Oilers (1986).
Huff earned his bachelor’s degree from Florida State in 1973. Huff was inducted into the Florida State Hall of Fame in 1983.
Huff and his wife, Susan, have four grown children and four grandsons. Both Huff and his wife and Florida State graduates.
