Florida State Opens 2017 Ranked No. 15

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Extending its streak of being ranked to 161 weeks, Florida State soccer will begin the 2017 season ranked No. 15 in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll, as announced on Thursday. United Soccer Coaches is the rebranded organization previously known as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

The Seminoles will play five matches in the regular season against teams ranked in the preseason poll, starting with a road trip to No. 7 Florida on September 8. FSU will welcome No. 6 North Carolina (September 17) and No. 18 Notre Dame (October 19) to the Seminole Soccer Complex, while playing road ACC contests at No. 12 Duke (October 8) and No. 13 Clemson (October 29).

Florida State Opens 2017 Ranked No. 15

The Noles have begun their preseason training, looking to defend their ACC Championship for the fourth year in a row bringing back 15 returners and welcoming in 12 new faces.

FSU will open the season in just two short weeks as the Noles host UNC Greensboro on Friday, August 18 at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free for all regular season games at the Seminole Soccer Complex.
