Florida State Places Four on All-ACC First Team

Tallahassee, Fla. – Four Florida State Seminoles were voted to the All-ACC first team and three more were named to the second team. Offensive tackle Brett Williams, free safety Chris Hope, middle linebacker Bradley Jennings and defensive tackle Darnell Dockett were first team selections. Placekicker Xavier Beitia, offensive guard Montrae Holland and wide receiver Javon Walker made the second team. Wide receiver Talman Gardner, defensive end Alonzo Jackson, and linebackers Michael Boulware and Kendyll Pope received honorable mention recognition.

Williams was the top vote-getter among all offensive lineman, receiving 121 of a possible 138 votes. Hope also received the most votes among defensive backs with a total of 115 votes. The four first team selections, along with any special award winners, will represent Florida State at the 2001 All-ACC Banquet in Atlanta on the evening of December 3.
