TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
Florida State, which is looking to win its seventh consecutive game, plays host to Saint Peter’s of New Jersey Saturday at Noon in the Donald L. Tucker Center. The Seminoles are undefeated since earning a 70-66 victory over No. 4/4 Florida (Dec. 3) in a game played at home in the Tucker Center. The Seminoles enter Saturday’s game with a 12-0 record in games played during the month of December in the last two seasons. Florida State was 6-0 during the month of December in 2005 and is 6-0 in the month of December this season. During the first five years of the Leonard Hamilton era at Florida State, the Seminoles are 29-7 (.806 winning percentage) at home during the month of December. Florida State is 8-0 at home and 2-2 on the road through the first 12 games of the season with wins coming at Stetson (Dec. 5, 82-63) and at Georgia State (Dec. 7, 87-55). The Seminoles will play their first neutral site game of the season against Providence of the Big East on Dec. 29 at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Fla. Following its game against St. Peter’s, the Seminoles travel to play against Providence before returning home to start Atlantic Coast Conference play against Clemson on Jan. 3 at 7.

Florida State has won each of its first eight home games of the 2006-07 and has won 15 of its last 16 games (.938 winning percentage) since defeating Clemson 69-59 on Feb. 1, 2006. SEMINOLES CONTINUE TO LEAD ACC FROM FREE THROW LINE
Led by Jason Rich’s .833 shooting night from the free throw line (five-of-six) the Seminoles shot .762 from the free throw line in their victory over Coastal Carolina. It marked the sixth consecutive game and the ninth time the Seminoles have shot better than 73 percent from the free throw line this season. The Seminoles have shot below 70 percent from the free throw line only twice this season. In addition, the Seminoles have made nearly as many free throws (161/13.4 FTMPG) as their opponents have attempted (165/13.8 FTAPG) through the first 12 games of the season.
