Florida State Seminoles Sink Georgia Tech, 69-59

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) – Adrian Crawford scored 20 points and sparked a
second-half rally to lead Florida State to a 69-59 win Wedensday over Georgia
Tech.

Florida State used an 18-3 run to take control of the game in the second
half after falling behind 44-42.

Crawford, a senior playing in his last home game, scored 12 points during
the run and had 16 in the second half. Georgia Tech (16-11, 8-8 ACC) made only
25 percent of its shots in the game.

The loss was a blow to the Yellow Jackets’ efforts to lock up a spot in the
NCAA tournament.

Mike Mathews and Delvon Arrington each scored 13 points for Florida State
(8-20, 3-12) and each had nine in the second half.

Tony Akins led Georgia Tech with 20 points, while Marvin Lewis added 12.
Florida State led 24-22 at halftime after leading for most of the first half.

Georgia Tech used a 9-0 run to briefly go ahead 22-20, but Crawford scored
the final four points of the half. Georgia Tech shot poorly in the first half,
making only 22 percent of its shots and scoring only 10 points in the first 12
minutes.

The win broke a three-game losing streak for Florida State, which finishes
the regular season Saturday at Clemson. Georgia Tech does not play again until
next week in the ACC tournament.
