Florida State Softball Announces 2016 Broadcast Schedule

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Seminole fans looking to keep up with the No. 10 Florida State softball team this season will have plenty of opportunities either on broadcast TV, ESPN3 or other streaming video platforms, as well as streaming radio through Seminoles.com as every game of the 2016 season will be available with either a live video or live audio option.

“We’re really excited to give fans a chance to listen and watch the Seminoles this season,” said FSU head coach Lonni Alameda. “We love being able to play on TV and ESPN3, but even if we are not, we want to give our fans all over the country an opportunity to be a part of our season through our radio broadcasts online. You can easily listen to them from any computer or phone.”

FSU will play two games against No. 23 NC State on ESPNU (April 9-10) and will be shown on the SEC Network during its game at No. 1 Florida on April 13.

There will be 11 games aired on ESPN3, starting with all four games of the inaugural ACC/Big Ten Softball Challenge versus No. 2 Michigan and No. 14 Minnesota on February 19-21. The FSU-UF game in Tallahassee on May 4 will also be shown on ESPN3, along with the three-game series against Louisville on May 7-8 to end the regular season. The three-game series with Syracuse on March 19-20 will have a live video broadcast on Seminoles.com.

On the road, the Seminoles will be on ESPN3 for all three games at No. 24 Notre Dame (April 2-3) and will be on the SEC Network+ for the doubleheader at No. 4 Auburn on April 20.

All other games, both home and away, will offer free live streaming radio content through Seminoles.com. There will be links on the softball schedule page online, as well as on the Seminoles.com mobile app, where fans can stream the radio broadcast on game days.

Former FSU softball players Robin Ahrberg and Maddie O’Brien will be among the primary radio broadcasters throughout the 2016 season. The informative and fun show will often have guest announcers, trivia, interviews and more.

Your first chance to listen to the Noles this season will be on Friday, February 12 at 2:30 p.m., as FSU opens the season against St. John’s at the FIU Invitational in Miami, Fla.
