ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Florida State softball wraps up the regular season with a doubleheader in Ann Arbor, Mich., against the No. 6 Michigan Wolverines on Wednesday, April 30, beginning at 4:00 p.m. The Seminoles have enter the series with a 36-23 record after sweeping three games from NC State over the weekend to clinch third place in the ACC.

Florida State trails the all-time series against Michigan State, taking only two wins in 18 meetings since 1990. The Wolverines enter the doubleheader after splitting two against fellow Big Ten team Northwestern on Sunday.

Senior starting pitcher Tiffany McDonald is on a mission to break the all-time career strikeout record at FSU currently held by Seminole great Jessica van der Linden (2001-04). McDonald is at 893 and needs only six to tie van der Linden’s 899 and seven to set a new record. The Belfair, Wash., native is averaging 8.5 strikeouts a game and notched 11 in her two victories over NC State last weekend.
