Florida State Swimming And Diving Prepares For Garnet And Gold Meet

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.  – The Florida State swimming and diving team will hold its annual Garnet vs. Gold meet on Friday, September 26, at 3:30 p.m. at the Morcom Aquatic Center.  The meet will give fans their first opportunity to see the Seminole’s in action at the team’s new $10.5 million facility.


Last season the Garnet vs. Gold meet ended with the men’s Garnet squad winning by a score of 138.5-134.5 and the Gold prevailing 141-138 for the women.  The meet gives the Seminole’s a chance to compete before the season starts as well as vie for team bragging rights.  It is also an opportunity for coaches to see the freshmen and newcomers swim in a competitive atmosphere.


Florida State’s first dual meet of the year is Friday, October 3, in Boca Raton, Fla., against Florida Atlantic and Florida International.  The Seminole’s first home dual meet is Saturday, October 11, against Alabama.  Admission is free for all home meets and for a recap of the days’ action log onto
