Tallahassee, FL – The Florida State track and field programs enjoyed a successful weekend in Clemson, SC at the ACC Indoor Championships with men winning their fifth consecutive title while the women grabbed fourth place.
The squads return to Tallahassee with six individual champions including the distance medley relay for the men and one for the women who took the gold in the 4x400m relay. Along with the wins come All-ACC honors for the top three finishers in each event and the top relay teams for both the men and women.
This season, four women are honored including Alyce Williams who placed third in the long jump and second in the triple jump. Williams was also a member of the first place All-ACC relay team with sophomore KayKay Richemond, junior Kandia Batchelor and senior Dana Massiah.
On the men’s side, 11 Seminoles earned All-ACC honors. Senior Andrew Lemoncello set a new meet record with his first-place finish in both the 3,000m and 5,000m for the second consecutive year. Also defending his title for the third year straight was senior Tom Lancashire in the mile run. The champion and All-ACC distance medley relay team of Lancashire, juniors Mark Buckingham (who also placed third in the mile run) and Elliott Wood and redshirt freshman Stephen Wilson, also set a new conference championship and Florida State school record.
One of only four Seminoles, along with Lancashire, Lemoncello, and Mark Buckingham, to garner two All-ACC honors is sophomore Michael Ray Garvin who finished second in both the 60m and 200m finals.
Also receiving All-ACC accolades were juniors Walter Dix and Ricardo Chambers who both ran championship performances in the 200m and 400m, respectively, seniors Greg Bolden in the 60m, John Fallone in the shot put and junior Drew Brunson in the 60 hurdles each placed third.

Florida States splits its squads three-ways this weekend as groups head to Notre Dame and Iowa State last chance meets while Mike Long Track hosts the first home meet of the season, the Snow Bird Invitational on March 2 and 3.
