Tallahassee, FL – The post-season is in full swing for the Florida State men’s and women’s track and field team as they break apart to compete for a spot on their home country’s World Championship team. A handful of Seminoles will put their best foot forward at the USA Junior and Senior Championships in Indianapolis, Ind., while others return to Jamaica, Scotland and Great Britain.
The 2007 AT&T USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on June 20-24 is the qualifying meet for the 2007 IAAF World Outdoor Championships in Osaka, Japan. Present and former Seminoles will compete for national titles and a spot on the US World Team on one of the fastest tracks in America at the Indiana University Michael A. Carroll Track & Soccer Stadium on the campus of IUPUI. Overlapping with this elite event will be the 2007 Finish Line USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships also featuring athletes from FSU.
The AT&T USA Championships will be broadcasted by both NBC and ESPN2. NBC will have live coverage of the event on Saturday, June 23, from 2:00-3:00 p.m., and again Sunday, June 24, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. ESPN2’s coverage will be live on Friday, June 22, from 8:00-9:00 p.m. and tape-delayed on Saturday, June 23, from 7:00-8:00 p.m.
