TALLAHASSEE, FLA – Coming off an exciting weekend in Charleston, S.C., the Florida State volleyball team will host a tournament in Tully Gym on Saturday, April 5, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Making the trip to Tallahassee will be the University of New Orleans, the University of North Florida, Troy and South Alabama.
The Seminoles were crowned the tournament champions last weekend as they dominated at both the indoor and beach events at the College of Charleston Spring Tournament on March 29-30. Sophomores Brianna Barry and Nikki Baker clinched the win on the sand while fellow sophomore Lauren Young and junior Jordana Price contributed to the indoor win.
Pool play kick-starts the event on Saturday, followed by a playoff round putting the No. 1 vs. No. 2 and No. 3 vs. No. 4. Florida State first takes to the court at 10:00 a.m. against South Alabama before taking on Troy at 11:00 a.m., North Florida at 1:00 p.m. and New Orleans at 2:00 p.m. The playoff matches will start at 3:00 p.m. and as with all FSU volleyball events, admission is free to all fans!
