TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Fresh off a colossal pair of road sweeps over top ACC opponent Virginia Tech and Virginia, Florida State enters its first rematch of the season as it hosts Wake Forest on Friday and Duke on Sunday. The Seminoles split the road series back in September with a 3-2 win over the Demon Deacons and a tough 3-1 loss to the Blue Devils. FSU looks to spook Wake Forest for the second time this year on Halloween with first serve set for 7:00 p.m. Friday’s action will be available live online through web-streaming by visiting ACCSelect.com.

– The Seminoles are 10-2 against the Demon Deacons when playing in Tallahassee.
– FSU extended its winning streak against WF to six straight after a 3-2 win over the Deacons on Sept. 25.
– Florida State’s two losses to Wake Forest in Tully Gym came in 1999 and 2003.

– It was also in 2002 when FSU beat both Duke and Wake Forest at home in the same weekend.
Almost 10 Years to the day…
The biggest wins this season happened on Oct. 24 and 25 when Florida State swept Virginia Tech and Virginia in three sets on the road. The last time the Seminoles pulled off such a feat against ACC opponents was in the 1998 season against Duke and Wake Forest on Oct. 23 and 24, respectively. That same year, FSU won its seventh ACC title which is also the last conference crown the Seminoles have claimed.
Neville Named ACC Player of the week…
Following road sweeps at Virginia Tech and Virginia, sophomore outside hitter Stephanie Neville was crowned the ACC Player of the Week on Oct. 27. The Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, native recorded 12 kills and a team-leading .375 attack percentage in the 3-0 win against the Hokies on Oct. 24 and returned the next day to post 11 kills against the Cavaliers. This is the first award of its kind for Neville.
Seminoles ranked in the NCAA…
The 14-7 Seminoles are appearing all over the collegiate rankings released weekly by the NCAA. Brianna Barry is currently No. 25 with a stellar .380 attack percentage this season. Also individually ranked are fellow juniors Nikki Baker and Jordana Price and senior Ashlee Moon. Baker is 37th in assists per set with 10.72, Price is 51st for blocks per set with 1.17 and Moon is 21st with 5.00 digs per set. As a team, Florida State ranks the highest at 34th with an average of 2.50 blocks per set.
Seminole Halloween Extravaganza & FREE Crocs on Friday…
Seminole fans, come spend Halloween with the Noles! Join the Office of Student Services and the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (S.A.A.C.) for the Inaugural Halloween Extravaganza on Friday, October 31, at 6:15 p.m. in Tully Gym. This event will provide a safe environment for kids in the local Tallahassee community to `trick-or-treat’ and meet Florida State student-athletes. This event is free to the public and will feature games hosted by the Seminole student-athletes and every kid attending will receive Halloween candy.
Following the Extravaganza, show your support of Seminole volleyball as it hosts Wake Forest at 7:00 p.m., presented by Crocs. The first 100 fans in attendance will receive a FREE pair of Florida State Crocs.
