The Florida State Lady Seminoles (1-5, 0-0) are set to travel to South Carolina to face ACC opponent Clemson (4-4, 0-1) Friday, Sept. 21 at 7:00 p.m. in Jervey Gym. The Tigers fell to the Seminoles in both regular season matches last season, and FSU leads Clemson in the all-time series 15-10. The Tigers hold a 6-4 lead over the Lady ‘Noles when playing at Clemson.
Leading the way in kills for the Seminoles is senior Norisha Campbell with 110 and 4.58 per game. Florida State sophomore Jennifer Anderson currently leads the Noles with 279 set assists, while junior Kristin Frye leads the squad in service aces with 13. The Lady ‘Noles lead their opponents in blocks, digs and total attacks. Dawn Hough is the team leader in blocks (33) and Alex Sevillano is the leader in digs (86) as well as total attacks (264).
Clemson is led by senior Jodi Steffes with 141 kills and a 4.41 kills per game average. She also boasts a .355 hitting percentage while recording a team-best 14 aces. Jessi Betcher leads Clemson in assists with 417 and is averaging 13.03 assists per game.
Following the match against Clemson the Lady Seminoles will head to Georgia Tech for their second ACC match-up of the season Saturday, Sept. 22 at 7:00 p.m. in O’Keefe Gym. Georgia Tech enters Saturday’s match with a record of (4-3, 0-1).
