TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Leon County Civic Center will be the
place to see some great women’s basketball action on Sunday, February 7th.
The Florida State women’s basketball team will play the Clemson Tigers at 5
p.m. and host the “Take a Kid to the Game” program. The program, designed
to promote the women’s game to the youth of America, will allow youth 18
and under, accompanied by a paying adult, to get into the game free!
The FSU women’s basketball team will also try to set a new
attendance record that night. The first 1,000 fans will receive a free
Cimmaron Beanie Toy and during halftime, one lucky family will win a free
trip to the Florida Aquarium, the Lowry Park Zoo and free tickets to the
MOSIMAX Theatre in Orlando.
This year marks the fourth year of the “Take of Kid to the Game”
program and the first for Regal by Buick’s involvement. The program had
grown from 30 schools in its first year to 112 schools last year. The
