GAINESVILLE, Fla. –
The Florida State women’s golf team, which was playing in its first tournament of the spring season, had the majority of its first round postponed due to inclement weather at the SunTrust Invitational hosted by the University of Florida Sunday. The tournament will resume Monday, March 10 at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start, as the golfers will begin playing at the holes where they left off. The second round will begin following the completion of the first round.
“We feel we have gotten off to a great start,” said head coach Debbie Dillman. “One of our players had already made the turn and we didn’t want to stop playing. We are looking forward to getting back out on the course Monday morning.”
The SunTrust Invitational will conclude with the third round on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
