Florida State Women’s Tennis Falls To Florida

TALLAHASSEE, FL–Florida State women’s tennis team fought hard and had the support of the home crowd, but it was not enough to upset the 4th ranked University of Florida.

Florida State got off to a good start in doubles play but the visiting Florida Gators managed to turn the momentum around and clinch the doubles point in their first match of the spring season.

Despite excellent efforts by the Seminoles in singles, Florida proved to be the stronger team this afternoon and took home all singles matches without losing a set.

The 30th ranked Seminoles fall to 2-2 overall for the season while Florida now stand at 1-0.

Florida State will prepare to play their next matches on the road against No. 49 Tulane on Monday February 12th and No. 21 LSU on Tuesday February 13th.
