Florida State Women’s Tennis Travels To Auburn To Face Tigers And Paladins

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
The Florida State women’s tennis team travels to Auburn, Ala. this weekend to face #29 Auburn and #62 Furman. The Seminoles will take on the Paladins of Furman Saturday, February 15th, and the Tigers of Auburn Sunday, February 16th. Both matches are scheduled to start at noon.


The Seminoles have gone head-to-head with Furman two times in the history of the two schools. The Tribe defeated the Paladins on both occasions. The two teams last met in 1988. In that meeting between the two teams, Florida State swept Furman by a score of 9-0.


On Sunday, Florida State will face Auburn University for the 14th time. The Seminoles lead the all-time series with the Tigers with a record of 12-2. Last season, Auburn edged past the Seminoles, 4-3. The Tribe last defeated the Tigers in 2000 by a score of 6-3.


The Seminoles will return to Tallahassee and their home court Wednesday, February 19th, when they host the Florida Gators. The match is scheduled to begin at 5:00 pm.
