Florida State’s Barry Named ACC Co-Player Of The Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Florida State volleyball earned its first weekly conference honor as junior Brianna Barry was named the ACC Co-Player of the Week for September 15. Barry shares the award with Kelsey Jones of Wake Forest after both ladies were named the MVP of their respective tournaments over the weekend.

At the Raider Challenge in Dayton, Ohio, Florida State swept the field going 3-0 against Niagara, Morehead State and tournament host Wright State. Barry led the Seminole charge over the two-day event, notching a team-high 33 kills and .485 attacking percentage and was named the tournament MVP.

The Winter Springs, Fla. native is averaging 3.63 kills per set and a .485 attack percentage so far this season as FSU is now 8-2 heading into its first ACC competition on Friday against Miami in Coral Gables, Fla.
