Florida State’s Polley ACC Defensive Back Of The Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Outside linebacker Tommy Polley Thomas was
named ACC Defensive Back of the Week today for his performance in
Florida State’s 33-10 win over Wake Forest this weekend. Polley, a
junior from Baltimore, MD, recorded eight tackles (four solo) as the
Tribe held Wake Forest to just 178 yards of total offense. He also had
two key third down stops, one pass break-up and a fumble recovery. The
Butkus Award candidate has a team-high 63 tackles on the season for a
unit that is ranked first in the conference in total defense and scoring
defense.
