Florida State’s Top 10 Plays of 2014: No. 1

1) Noles prevail against Clemson

With their star quarterback watching from the sidelines, the Florida State football team rallied around backup Sean Maguire and held off a hard charge from the upset-minded Clemson Tigers. After forcing the game to overtime, the FSU defense stood tall in overtime and forced a turnover on downs after Eddie Goldman made a key stop for no gain on fourth-and-one. Two plays is all it took for Karlos Williams to seal the win, first with 13-yard run on first down, and then a 12-yarder into the end zone that sent Doak Campbell Stadium into a frenzy. The victory ensured FSU’s third straight triumph over the Tigers and gave the Seminoles pole position in the ACC Atlantic Division race.
