Florida State’s Top 10 Plays of 2014: No. 10

10) Rashad Greene’s 44-yard touchdown catch against Georgia Tech

Facing a third-and-11 near midfield, Florida State’s offense made a crucial play that, despite coming fairly early in the game, made for a huge swing. The Seminoles already trailed Georgia Tech by a touchdown and, had they not converted, would’ve had to give the ball back to a Yellow Jackets offense that had at that point scored on every possession. A double-digit deficit is bad news against Tech’s run-heavy offense. But Jameis Winston and Co. not only converted the long third down, they struck for a long touchdown that put pressure back on the Jackets. And after defensive stop on the subsequent possession, Winston and Greene connected again for a TD that gave FSU the lead at halftime.
