TALLAHASSEE, FL — Florida State quarterback Dan Kendra underwent successful surgery on his injured right knee on Thursday morning at Tallahassee Memorial Regional Medical Center. Florida State team physicians Dr. Tom Haney and Dr. Doug Henderson performed the reconstructive surgery to the anterior cruciate ligament in Kendra’s right knee which was injured on April 4.
Team physicians reported that the anterior cruciate ligament was completely torn and was replaced with a graft of the patellar tendon. They also removed 15 percent of the lateral cartilage.
Kendra, a junior from Bethlehem, PA, is expected to be released from the hospital either Friday evening or Saturday morning. He will be placed in a walking brace and will begin daily rehabilitation on Monday.
