TALLAHASSEE, FL — No. 5 Florida State continued preparation for their
final game matchup with No. 4 Florida with a 2 1/2 hour practice this
afternoon in shorts and shoulder pads.

“Marcus Outzen threw really well today,” said head coach Bobby Bowden.
“Everything was right there. It looked like he knows what he is doing.
I’d like for Outzen to start the game and finish it.”

Backup free safety Shawn McCorkel will play in Saturday’s contest against
Florida after being suspended for the last two game for violations of team
policy.

“How much he (McCorkel) plays will be up to Mickey (Andrews),” commented
Bowden.

INJURY REPORT:

There were no new injuries. Defensive end Roland Seymour
was held out of practice and will miss Saturday’s game after spraining the
MCL in his right knee. He was the only starter held out of drills during
Wednesday’s practice. Sophomore Jamal Reynolds will replace Seymour and
make his second career start for the Seminoles.

Bobby Bowden reacts to departing of Tommy West from Clemson:

“I hate to see Tommy West leave (Clemson). I thought NC State did a good
thing last year with keeping Mike O’Cain and him coming back and winning
some big games this year. I was really hoping he could make it.”
