TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Four members of the Florida State indoor volleyball team were selected to the 2016 All-ACC Academic Volleyball Team as it was announced by the league office on Thursday. Florida State had the highest number of student-athletes selected at four, along with Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh.

Seniors Katie Horton, Melanie Keil and Hailey Luke along with junior Milica Kubura represented Florida State on the team.

Horton and Keil earned their first nod, while Kubura and Luke accomplished their second.

“I am so proud of these young ladies that put in the time and effort to be well rounded student-athletes,” FSU head coach Chris Poole said. “Our goal is always to work hard on the court but also in the classroom and as role models in the community.”

Majoring in Dietetics, Keil earned a spot on the Dean’s List in the fall of 2016.  On the court, Keil captured All-ACC Second Team Honors behind 170 kills (1.36 per set) and 194 total blocks (1.55 per set).
