Orlando, Fla. – Newcomer Tori Allen won her first pole vault competition of the season at the Golden Twilight Invitational on Saturday, April 29. 2006 at the UCF Track and Field Complex. Allen cleared a meet-best height of 11’11.75″ (3.65m).

Fellow rookie Brittany Janson (Sarasota, Fla./Cardinal Mooney) took runner-up honors, vaulting 11’5.75″ (3.50m). On the men’s side, Charlie Cotton (Gainesville, Fla./Gainesville) was second with a height of 15’7″ (4.75m).

All-American Greg Bolden (Morrow, Ga./Albany State) won the 100m dash, running into a strong 3.5 headwind, in 10.61. All-American Cedric Nabe (Geneva, Switzerland/Lycee St. Joseph) was second in 10.75 while junior transfer Ronald Wright (Baltimore, Md./Barton County Community College) was fourth running 10.89.

The Seminoles are back in action on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at the Seminole Twilight at Mike Long Track and Field Complex.
