Frith Finishes in Top Ten at Clemson Championships

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State sophomore Matt Frith (Jacksonville, Fla./Bolles) finished the 2006 Clemson Heptathlon/Pentathlon Championships in eighth place with an indoor season-best 4,816 points on Saturday, January 26, 2006.

Frith, who bettered his prior best of 4,602 points set during the team’s Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Championship, tied for sixth place in the pole vault reaching a height of 4.5m for 760 points and finished in tenth place (764 points) in the 60m hurdles in 8.92. He took eighth place in the final event of the day, the 1000m run, clocking 3:04.27 for 623 points.

The Seminoles return to action next weekend at the Pepsi Invitational in Gainesville, Fla., on Sunday, February 5, 2005.
