FSU Adds Home Game Tuesday Night At 6:00 pm Versus South Alabama

May 10, 2006

Tallahassee, FL – The 12th-ranked FSU baseball team has missed out on two games this year due to weather. Both contests were road games at Auburn and at Wake Forest. Those cancellations opened the door for Florida State to add an extra home game. The Seminoles will host a bonus 37th game at Mike Martin Field when South Alabama comes to town Tuesday, May 16 at 6:00 p.m.

It will be fan appreciation night at Dick Howser Stadium as there will be no admission charge for the game.

This will be the 60th meeting between the teams. The last time FSU and USA squared off was in the 2003 NCAA Tallahassee Regional. FSU won those two games 12-2 and 13-5. The Jaguars were in the 2005 Tallahassee Regional but they did not face the Seminoles. USA is currently 34-16 and 14-6 in the Sun Belt Conference.
