FSU Announces Student Bowl Ticket Lottery

Dec. 1, 2000

TALLAHASSEE, Fla –
The Florida State Athletics Ticket Office announced plans for a student ticket lottery beginning next week for the Seminoles’ upcoming bowl game. Student ticket prices will depend upon the bowl for which we are selected. If the Seminoles play in the Orange Bowl, all student tickets will be $100.

Any Florida State student who wishes to enter the lottery must present a valid student ID card at the Howser Stadium (baseball) ticket booth on Monday, December 4, or Tuesday, December 5, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. If the number of students signing up to purchase a ticket exceeds the quantity available, a lottery will be conducted on Tuesday night and the results will be posted on Wednesday at the Howser ticket booth.

The selected students will have Wednesday and Thursday (9:00 4:30) to buy the ticket (with their student ID and their winning lottery card). If all tickets are not purchased by lottery winners, those students who registered for the lottery but did not win may purchase a ticket (with their student ID and lottery card) beginning on Friday, December 8 at 9:00 a.m.

The Athletics Ticket Office also announced that if the Seminoles are chosen to participate in the Orange Bowl, the demand for those tickets among qualifying Seminole Booster members will exceed the supply, so none of FSU’s allotment will be available for sale to the general public.
