FSU Baseball Hosts NCAA Regionals

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State has known for a week that it will host a four-team
regional and the Seminoles learned on Monday that Providence, Jacksonville
and The Citadel will make up the field in Tallahassee.

Providence, which is playing its last season ever of college
baseball, is the No. 2 seed with a 47-14 record and an automatic bid as the
champions of the Big East Tournament. No. 3 seeded Jacksonville was 40-21
and also enter the field by virtue of an automatic bid as champions of the
Trans America Athletic Conference. The No. 4 seed Bulldogs of the Citadel
won the Southern Conference championship.

Game times for the regionals will be at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on
Friday; 11 a.m., 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 1:00 and 5:00 (if
necessary) on Sunday. Jacksonville and Providence will play the first game
of the regional in Tallahassee on Friday at 3:00 with Florida State and The
Citadel playing at 7:00 p.m.

All tournament passes are $40 for lower/reserved seating, $35
upper/reserved seating and $25 for general admission, and will go on sale
through the FSU ticket office at 888-FSU-N0LE. Single game tickets will
not be available until Friday with tickets set at $9 for reserve seating,
$7 for adult general admission and $5 for student/youth general admission.

The NCAA Regional bracket in Tallahassee is paired with the NCAA
Regional hosted by Auburn which features No. 1 seed Tulane, No. 2 Auburn,
No. 3 NC State and No. 4 Winthrop. The winner of the Tallahassee Regional
and Auburn Regional will meet in a three-game Super Regional with the site
to be announced on Monday.
