Oct. 14, 2004

The reigning ACC Champion Florida State baseball team will stage its annual Garnet & Gold game this Friday at 6:00 p.m. Batting practice begins at 5:00 p.m. and BP and the intra-squad scrimmage are open to the fans. The Tribe’s scrimmage Thursday at 3:00 p.m. is also open for fans and it will be the only time they will get to see the Tribe’s veteran pitchers in action this fall.

The Seminoles made their 42nd appearance in NCAA postseason play earlier this year and have made 27 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, the second-longest streak in the country. Florida State made its first appearance in 1956 and has advanced to the College World Series 18 times, most recently in 2000.
