The Florida State volleyball team (2-5) looks to snap a 13-match losing streak to Florida (9-1) that dates back to Oct. 10, 1995…The intrastate match between the Seminoles and No. 7 Gators will air live on Sun Sports and FSN Florida at 7:00 p.m. eastern…The match-up will be the final pre-conference contest of the season for FSU…Wednesday night, the Seminoles snapped a five-game skid by defeating South Florida, 3-1…Junior Jessica Skower produced an overall outstanding match that consisted of 51 sets, 12 digs, seven kills, four total blocks, and a .500 hitting percentage…Pacing the offense was freshman Marrita Royster-Crockett with 15 kills on 40 attempts for a .275 hitting percentage…On the season, Florida State is hitting point .184 while its opponents are managing .203 mark…The Seminoles have been plagued with significant injuries this season, first losing seniors Andreza Santos (foot) and Lauren Scott (Achilles tendon)…Both women returned to the court against USF and are almost heathly…Setter Zrinka Tomic missed Wednesday’s match with a stress fracture…Her status is unknown for Monday’s match…Senior Kristen Rust is leading the FSU offense this season with 3.22 kills per game and a team-high 0.37 aces per game…Sophomore Summer Weissing paces the defense with 3.89 digs per contest…Sophomore Makini Thompson has a team-high 26 total blocks on the year… In the latest ACC rankings, Skower ranked seventh in the league in assists and Weissing ranked ninth in digs..FSU is one victory shy of program win No. 800…To view the entire match notes, click the link at the top of the page.
