TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State Seminoles concluded Thursday evening practice preparations for their game against Wake Forest on Saturday, Nov. 11. The Garnet and Gold went 15 periods in shorts. FSU started things off with periods A-C indoors, as the squads split and the defense practiced in Tully while the offense worked in Moore. As the rain cleared up, the `Noles got in a full session on the practice field.
“We planned to go inside today, we thought the rain my hit us pretty hard,” FSU head coach Bobby Bowden said. “We came outside and got everything we planned to get done, in. We went over the game plan today and got in a good practice.”
The Noles opened up with kick off returns, followed by kickoffs and punting in periods A-D. Period one and two consisted of skeleton offense and defensive drills, followed by team assignment drills for both offense and defense. The team moved to “Team Game” stage in periods five through six. The offense ran normal offensive drills as well as two-minute offense before ending the preparations for this weekend with kicking following two-minute drill.
“If we could get the [Wake Forest] game under control, we would like to play some subs,” Bowden said. “However, the last time we were up there it was a battle. They play a very physical football game.”
The Seminoles will kick off against the Demon Deacons on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The game will be televised on Sunshine Network Pay-Per-View.
