MARCO ISLAND, Fla. – Florida State University’s director of athletics,
Dave Hart, Jr., was recently elected to serve as the 1st Vice President of
the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA)
Executive Committee. Hart was named to the post at the group’s 33rd
annual convention, held June 14-17 at Marco Island.

Hart, who came to
FSU from East Carolina University, was the 3rd Vice President last year
and has been an active member of the NCAA for several years. He has
chaired committees on marketing and gender equity, served on the Special
Events/Post Season Bowls Committee and is currently the chair of the
Missions and Values Committee of the Division I-A Athletic Directors
Association. At Florida State, Hart has developed a Life Skills program
for student-athletes, restructured the administrative staff and negotiated
contracts totaling more than $19 million for Seminole athletics.

Kim Record, an associate athletics director/senior women’s
administrator at FSU, was named one of 11 newly elected at-large
representatives to NACDA’s 29-person Executive Committee. Record joined
Florida State’s administrative staff in 1995 shortly after Hart’s arrival.
