TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (seminoles.com) – The Florida State women’s soccer team fell to Miami, 3-2 on Sunday in their second game of the 2012 spring season.

The Seminoles opened the scoring on a goal by Jessica Price in the 20th minute but the lead was short lived as Miami tied the match at 1-1 finding the back of the net for their first goal of the game two minutes later.

Florida State answered quickly out of the gates to start the second half as Tiffany McCarty gave the Seminoles a 2-1 lead on a goal in the 46th minute.

The Hurricanes scored twice in the final 16 minutes for the 3-2 victory. Miami tied the match in the 74th minute before scoring the game-winner with under two minutes left in regulation.

FSU goalkeepers Kelsey Wys and Taylor Vancil split time between the posts for the Seminoles on Sunday.

Florida State will face Florida for its third match of the spring season on April 1.
