TALLAHASSEE, FL – Sunshine Network and Florida State University today announced that the Duke at Florida State college football game on Saturday, September 27 (7:00 pm) will be made available live via pay-per-view (PPV) to viewers of participating cable systems, satellite systems and commercial establishments throughout Florida.
The live PPV airing will be in addition to Sunshine Network’s taped presentations of the game airing statewide on the regional network to more than 5.9 million homes on Sunday, September 28, at 7 p.m. during “Prime Time ‘Noles,” and Monday, September 29, at 12:30 p.m. Sunshine Network’s FSU announcers Paul Kennedy (play-by-play), Keith Jones (analyst) and Tom Block (sideline) call the action live from Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham, NC.
Immediately following the PPV presentation of the game, fans can switch to Sunshine Network for complete live post-game coverage during the network’s new “Tailgate Saturday FSU Post-Game” show. Live reports from Durham will also air during Sunshine’s Saturday morning “Bubba Burger College Kickoff” (9:30am) and during the 10pm “Tailgate Saturday Football Wrap.”
Per Atlantic Coast Conference television contracts, when an ACC team does not have its game selected by ABC, ESPN or Jefferson-Pilot, it is permitted to televise that game live only on pay-per-view. Therefore, Sunshine Network cannot air these games live on the network, but can make them available to cable systems and satellite distributors to deliver via pay-per-view.
Cable systems electing to offer the game on pay-per-view will designate a channel location, separate from Sunshine Network’s channel, for the pay-per-view presentation. Interested viewers should call their local cable company or satellite provider for ordering instructions.
