CARY, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Monday, November 3 the pairings for the 21st ACC Women’s Soccer Championship at Wake Med Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. Florida State earned the No. 2 seed in this year’s tournament and will face seventh-seeded Virginia Tech in the first round on Wednesday, November 5 at 5:00 p.m.

After dropping the conference opener against Virginia back on September 25, Florida State closed out the regular season on a nine-game unbeaten streak (8-0-1) to finish in second place in the ACC. Since 2001, the Seminoles have finished no lower than fourth place in the ACC standings, while it’s the sixth straight top three finish for the Garnet and Gold and seventh overall.

A season ago, Florida State advanced to the championship final for the fourth time in school history. The Seminoles defeated Boston College 1-0 in the opening round, advanced past Wake Forest 5-2 in the semifinals and then dropped a hard fought 1-0 game to North Carolina in the finals.

Every game on Wednesday and Friday of the championship will be featured live and free of charge over the internet on ACC Select. Sunday’s championship game will be shown live on Sun Sports at 1:00 pm.
