TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Sixth-ranked Florida State (6-1-0) wraps up its non-conference regular season schedule this Friday, September 18 as the Seminoles travel to Gainesville to face No. 14 Florida (5-2-0).
Florida State has won six of the last 11 games in the series, but its the Gators who have won two in a row and hold the all-time series advantage at 10-6-0.
Since 2000, eight of the 11 games have been decided by one goal with FSU winning five. Three of those eight contests have occurred in Gainesville with FSU posting a 2-1 record.
Senior captain Becky Edwards is the only Seminole to have played all 90 minutes against UF over the last three years. No Seminole on the current roster has a point against the Gators. Erin McNulty was the keeper of record in FSU’s 2-1 loss Gainesville in 2007.

Friday’s contest against No. 14 Florida begins a tough stretch for the fourth-ranked Seminoles. FSU will face three opponents that rank in the top 20 in two of three national polls over the next three games.
FSU concludes its non-conference schedule on the road this Friday against the Gators in Gainesville, before returning home to face a pair of top 10 and undefeated opponents in Maryland (No. 9, 7-0-0) and Boston College (No. 4, 6-0-0) – ranking courtesy of Soccer America.

FSU faces Florida this week in the final non-conference game of the regular season.
FSU is 21-15-3 all-time against schools from the Southeastern Conference having faced Auburn (8-1), Florida (6-10), Georgia (2-2), LSU (2-1-1), Mississippi (2-0-1), South Carolina (0-0-1) and Tennessee (1-1-0). Under Krikorian, FSU is 6-2-1 having faced Auburn, Florida, LSU and South Carolina.
The Seminoles have posted a record of 7-10-3 all-time against SEC opponents away from the friendly confines of the Seminole Soccer Complex.
FSU has compiled an even scoring margin all-time against SEC opponents – 60 GF, 60 GA.
Florida State has outscored the opposition 32-3 through the first seven games of the season.
It marks the second most goals to start a season in school history, trailing only the 2007 squad that registered 36 goals at the same point en route to a school record 81-goal season.
With 32 goals on the year, the 2009 Seminoles have either matched or surpassed the total number of goals scored during the 1995 (32), 1997 (30) and 2004 (29) seasons.
Sixteen players already have at least one point with 12 players recording at least one goal and 14 players with at least one assist.
