FSU Football Focuses On Fundamentals

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida State football team continued spring practice on Thursday with an 18-period practice in Doak Campbell Stadium. The ‘Noles spent most of practice working on fundamentals and conditioning.
“The main thing today was the weather,” said head coach Bobby Bowden. “We thought we were going to have to go inside today. We wanted to spend a lot of time looking at film, so our coaches looked at the film and showed the kids the film of the last scrimmage. The sun did break through, so we were able to come out and get our outside practice in. We came out in shells, instead of full pads, and worked on getting some of our timing and execution down for our scrimmage on Saturday. It will be a full scrimmage on Saturday, and then we’ll be able to get in four practices next week.”

INJURY REPORT: NO NEW INJURIES. OG Jerry Carmichael underwent a successful ACL surgery on Thursday.

The Seminoles scrimmage on Saturday will begin at 10:00am. The scrimmage will be held in Doak Campbell Stadium.
