TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
Game Day Central
The No. 15 Florida State University football team (2-1, 1-1 ACC) practiced in full pads for 22 periods Tuesday evening in preparation for this Saturday’s Atlantic Coast Conference match-up against Wake Forest (2-1, 0-1 ACC). The Seminoles worked on special teams in the beginning of practice and then worked against Demon Deacon scout teams for the remainder of the practice session.
“We had a much more intense practice today,” said head coach Bobby Bowden. “The kids were much more attentive today then they were last week. They looked really in to it today, so that was good. We caught the ball better today, and then we worked on our typical Tuesday routine.”
Florida State leads the series against Wake with a record of 16-2-1, including nine-straight wins. Wake Forest has yet to beat the Seminoles since September 15, 1973, when the Tribe won 9-7 at Groves Stadium in Winston Salem, N.C. The last time the Demon Deacons won in Tallahassee was in 1959 by a score of 22-20. The Seminoles will look to extend their 36 game home win streak.
This Saturday’s game against Wake Forest is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff and will be available live via Pay-Per-View. Check with your local cable company or satellite provider for information.
