TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State freshman All-American guard Rodney Hudson is only getting better with time. Now a sophomore, Hudson was named the ACC Player of the Week along the offensive line following the Seminoles 69-0 season-opening victory over Western Carolina. Last season Hudson, a Mobile, AL native, was named rookie performer of the week on one occasion.
The freshman All-American picked up right where he left off in 2007, as the Seminoles’ best offensive lineman. The guard graded out at 89% and played more snaps than any other lineman on the team as FSU rushed for 290 yards in a 69-0 win. Hudson even slid over and played center for the first time in his career. The second-year player recorded five knockdowns and graded out at 91% in run blocking situations.
Hudson and the Seminoles will return to action this weekend at 3:45 p.m. in Doak Campbell Stadium versus Chattanooga. The game will be broadcast by ESPNU.
