TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — J.D. Bracy of Kissimmee, Fla. has signed a
national letter of intent to play basketball at Florida State University.
The 6-3 guard was a first team class 5A all-state selection last
season after averaging 28.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 4.1
steals per game at Osceola High School. Bracy was the only junior on
Florida’s all-state team last year and is regarded as one of the nation’s
top 100 prep players. He was an all-tournament selection at the Nike
All-America camp last summer.
“J.D. owns tremendous athletic ability and is another young man
that really wanted to be a Seminole,” said Florida State head coach Steve
Robinson. “He has a great work ethic and is very strong and dedicated. He
has great upside potential.”
Bracy picked Florida State after also considering Miami, South
Florida, Alabama, North Carolina State and Clemson.
