TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The No. 12 Florida State men’s golf team was selected to its eighth straight NCAA appearance this week. The Seminoles play host to the Tallahassee Regional at the Golden Eagle Country Club May 16-18. Florida State is the No. 3 seed in the 13-team regional. Admission is free for all three days with Thursday and Friday beginning at 8:00 a.m. and Saturday at 7:30 a.m.
Joining Florida State is No. 6 Washington, No. 9 Georgia Tech, No. 18 North Florida, No. 25 Oklahoma, No. 40 Wake Forest, No. 44 Oregon, NC State, Oregon State, Iowa, USF, San Diego and Loyola (Maryland).
10 individuals are also competing in the regional with No. 87 Sean Bosdosh (Maryland), J.T. Poston (Western Carolina), Maverick Antcliff (Augusta State), Richard Fountain (Davidson), Ryan Fricker (Bethune-Cookman), Trey Rule (Mercer), Daniel Walker (Richmond), Edward Figueroa (FGCU), Alex Wennstam (Augusta State) and Hans Reimers (Mercer).
81 teams make up the regional field along with 45 individuals. Five teams and the top individual advance to the National Championship at The Capital City Club’s Crabapple Course in Atlanta, Ga., from May 28-June 2.
