TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
The Florida State University men’s cross country team received four votes in the latest national poll released Wednesday by the United States Cross Country Coaches Association. The Seminoles gain two more votes since their debut in the polls on October 9. The Tribe is currently ranked No. 2 in the NCAA South Region.

Last Saturday FSU competed at the NCAA Pre-National Meet at Furman University and finished 13th overall. The Seminoles defeated all schools from the South Region at the meet including the University of Florida (No. 3 South Region), marking their first win over the Gators since 1981.

The Seminoles returns to action on October 27, when they travel to Clemson, S.C. to compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference championship. The ACC meet will serve as the final tune-up before the NCAA South Regional meet in Birmingham, Ala. on November 11.
