TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – After defeating two top-20 teams in as many weeks, the Florida State men’s tennis team (9-8, 2-1 ACC) is back in Top 25 of the Fila Collegiate Tennis Rankings, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced this week.

Duke (No. 4), Virginia (No. 11), Clemson (No. 11), North Carolina (No. 12), and Miami (No. 14) are the other schools from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) ranked in the Top 25.

Florida State is led by junior Ytai Abougzir, ranked No. 65 in the country in singles. After going 2-0 in singles play last week, Abougzir was named ACC “Performer of the Week” on Monday. In doubles action, Abougzir and senior Chris Westerhof are ranked No. 37 as a pair.

The Seminoles will travel to the University of Maryland on Friday, March 24, for a 3pm tilt with the No. 68-ranked Terrapins.
