FSU Men’s Tennis Dominates Miami Team Tournament

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State men’s tennis team dominated opening day competition at the Miami Fall Classic at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center. The Seminoles only lost three singles and one doubles match in the opening day of play.

Newcomers Jeff Groslimond and Hagen Endler both won their two singles matches singles matches. Groslimond defeated Roman Kowalski of Florida Atlantic 6-1, 6-2 and Zachary Hood of Miami 6-4, 6-2. Endler downed Oscar Plotnik (6-3, 7-6) of Florida Atlantic and Miami’s Colin Purcell (7-6, 6-4).

In doubles action, FSU swept its three matches with Florida Atlantic to start the day. Florida State would later split two doubles matches with Miami. Romain Jurd/Alex Herrera fell 3-8 to Golub/Krebs, while Endler/Groslimond won their match 8-5 over Purcell/Hood.

Florida State will take on South Florida on the final day of action.
