TALLAHASSEE, FL.–Only one more dual match remains before it is time for the Florida State men’s tennis team to travel to Orlando, FL to play in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament on April 19-22. The 66th-ranked Seminoles will take on FAMU on Friday, April 13th, at 5:00 p.m. at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center.
The Florida State men’s tennis team (9-12, 4-4 in the ACC) has been going through a rough patch lately as they have taken on some of the top teams in the nation, but the men are determined to turn things around with the upcoming match against the Rattlers.
“This is our last home match before the ACC’s and the most important thing right now is to feel good about how were playing and getting ready for the tournament”, said head coach Dwayne Hultquist. “Our team will have the weekend off after the match on Friday and I think that rest is necessary in order for us to prepare physically and mentally for the post season.”
Florida State and Florida A&M has played each other four times in dual match competition with the Seminoles leading the Rattlers 4-0 in the all-time series.
